NIVIUK KOYOT DHV 1 Paraglider

Brand New KOYOT
Niviuk has developed the new KOYOT paraglider, the new DHV 1 wing to replace the popular NK1.
The KOYOT is not an update but a completely new glider. With Niviuk design, excellent maneuverability and “Niviuk feel” it’s a perfect glider to start with and to progress with. The KOYOT paraglider enables you to safely progress in free flight with lots of confidence with great performance in a beginning wing. The KOYOT paraglider has the LTF 1 and EN B certification, 4 new colors and 5 sizes. Sizes 22/24/26/28/31 are all certified.

Best Paraglider For Beginning Pilots:

Your first paraglider is an important choice. The most important factors are a balance of safety, awesome construction, fun performance, longevity. You also need to know that your first wing can take you through the learning process, but that you can continue to learn and grow your paragliding skills with it. In other words you don’t want to get stuck with a bike that has permanent training wheels, but you want a wing that will be there for you when the conditions are "spicy!" The KOYOT fits the bill. With the Niviuk heritage and attention to performance and maximum passive safety, Niviuk has scored again with the Koyot. To purchase a KOYOT visit the Niviukwest Store.

Top DHV1 Paraglider Recommendation from Instructors:
As an instructor the most important factors in the decisions on which DHV 1 wings are best for my students are safety and performance. The NK1 is a perfect first wing, but won’t hold any student back either. As an instructor you won’t feel like you need to put a talented new P-2 into a DHV 1-2 wing when you have the NK1 as an option. There is plenty of passive safety there, but you don’t compromise on performance. Learning becomes easier, progress more natural. The Niviuk NK1 is the top DHV 1 paraglider recommended by instructors.

EXCERPTS of Reviews of the Niviuk NK1:

"The NK1 (DHV1) was pulled out of the bag alongside the hangies, they looked with a (it's too strong for you) smile as the wing was laid out and harness attached. Then the launch...Perfect, no overshoot just a symmetrical overhead park. A few seconds later it was lifted in an elevator of a thermal and very quickly the hill was well below.

Speed bar on and the wing remained rock solid, easily pushing forward. Then it was playtime, for a DHV1 it responds like a lower end DHV1/2, the control pressure is well balanced, not too heavy not too light. With a little weight shift it reacts and turns with ease and hooks the thermals like it's bigger brother the Hook. It refuses point blank to pitch any further than 30 degrees, some may say that this is maybe a bad thing, but for this category of wing I think a good thing?

The punchy thermals peaked at 4 m/s but at least these allowed the wing to show it's character and that it performs and enjoys thermalling along with the rest. In fact the NK1 very quickly reached the top of the stack at 1300 metres and went on a little XC.
Overall simply soaked up and enjoyed everything it was asked to do with performance to spare and safety at a premium. But most of all it gave a grin factor of 100%"

Phillipe Lami in a review for
Parapente magazine in France wrote that he loved the NK1 for powered paragliding, especially for newer PPG pilots, and mentioned "she" is a light wing that inflates easily on no-wind forwards.
